As a professional artist with over two decades of experience, I love to capture the essence of pets, people and wildlife through the delicate medium of pastels. I enjoy working on commissions, teaching, creating original paintings for sale and supplying limited edition prints. My journey, while self-taught, has been enriched by the inspiration I draw from other animal artists like David Shepherd, Yelena Lamm, David Stribling and Rita Kirkman.
My home studio is based in the quaint village of Cottesmore in Rutland, the smallest county in the country. I particularly enjoy working on velour paper, a unique surface with a smooth, velvety texture which allows me to achieve a realistic finish, free from the grainy ‘tooth’ found in other pastel papers.
Art has become a passion that I love to share. I find immense joy and fulfilment in imparting my knowledge to ignite creativity in others. I hold local classes and workshops to teach my techniques and to offer guidance and inspiration.
