After retiring after 32 years in the Police I decided I wanted to do something entirely different, I started taking adult education classes for painting, but it just wasn't me. I then thought I would try Lino printing, having purchased the cheapest Lino and tools I had a go on the dining room table - not always the best idea!! It takes me to my happy place, I like the fact that you don't know what will happen until you peel back the paper from the Lino, that at any stage things can change with your print, and the working out what to remove to make the image you are printing make sense.
More recently, in 2020 I taught myself coloured pencils, with the help of a lot of You Tube, I think I am attracted to them because they work best in layers as well.
I like contrast, light with dark, cold colours with warm, vivid colours with dark.
I hope you enjoy browsing my gallery.
